Mount Carmel Year 7 pupils all participated in a workshop delivered to them by a local charity; HARV (Hyndburn and Ribble Valley Domestic Violence Team). The workshop was focussed on friendships, boundaries and managing conflict.
Pupils completed activities looking at what rumours are, and why they can be hurtful as well as looking at the traits of healthy and unhealthy friendships. The pupils all seemed to be very engaged and had very good ideas that they shared throughout the sessions.
This workshop further supports the PSHCE provision provided at Mount Carmel and complements a lot of the themes pupils will have been looking at and discussing in PSHCE lesson this term.
Thank you to the team from HARV for delivering the workshops and to Mr Khan, Assistant Curriculum Leader of RE, PSHCE and RSE for arranging the day.
