Kobe Garbett, Year 8 pupil at Mount Carmel is currently placed 3rd in the British open motorcycle racing championship and hopes to be a British champion in an upcoming race.
Kobe will be racing at the Clay Pigeon Raceway, Dorchester in October where he will compete with some of the best riders in the country for the Rich Energy British Mini Bikes GP190 Championship. During the three day event Kobe will practice his racing and have two qualifying sessions. He will also have three races with adults.
Kobe has accumulated 10 trophies since he began motorcycle racing at the age of 10 and he has sponsorships from many local large businesses such as Ciceley, Tetrosyl and McMurrays Haulage.
Kobe has suffered from some serious injuries but he continues to persevere, training three to five times a week following his dream to reach the Superbike World Championship.
