Fourteen Mount Carmel pupils from years 7 - 10 with a careers interest in Healthcare or Health & Social Care attended an NHS Careers Day in Preston where they took part in different practical workshops that looked at a range of careers available in the sector such as Nursing, Primary Care, Ambulance Services, Occupational Therapy, and the Armed Forces.
They also had opportunity to speak to a range of University providers and were shown some CPR and basic first aid skills.
Mr Barratt, Mount Carmel Raising Aspirations Coordinator commented "It was a very informative, hands-on day. All the pupils enjoyed themselves and gained a valuable insight into careers within the health care sector."
