Mount Carmel pupils and staff joined Pope Francis with an Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary for peace between Russia and Ukraine.
Mr Davies, Head of Religious Education read a prayer (translated into English) and all involved lit a candle in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Chapel.
Pupils from various year groups had written messages of peace which made a wonderful display in the chapel too.
The day was also marked with a non-uniform day in the colours of the Ukranian flag; blue and yellow. This raised £645 which will be added to our fundraising campaign to help refugees from Ukraine.
