Mount Carmel held a World Book Day Competition asking participating pupils to write a short story and also design a cover for the book along with an advertising poster.
Assistant Curriculum Leader for English Mrs Bowers commented "The standard of the competition entries was extremely high, the winning entries were very imaginative as was their presentation. We therefore decided to award four winners in each Key Stage 3 year group and four winners from Key Stage 4. The prizes included a certificate, Easter egg and two World Book Day books."
