Forty Mount Carmel Year 10 and 11 pupils participated in Dr Peter Vardy’s 'Salvation! R.E. Conference' in Manchester.

The conference consisted of four different lectures looking at the Nature of God, Sin & Salvation, Life after Death and Abortion & Euthanasia. This day was designed to complement the GCSE Eduqas course which the pupils study.

Mr Khan, Assistant Curriculum Leader for Religious Education, PSHCE and RSE commented "The pupil’s have taken a lot from the conference and have been forced to challenge their beliefs, focusing on exam technique and ways to evaluate. Each pupil has been given a booklet full of revision notes which we encourage them to utilise in order to prepare them well for their exams.”
