Mount Carmel held the annual Next Steps Days for Year 5 pupils at the end of the summer term.
The theme to the days was 'America' and pupils participated in a range of activities based on that theme. All pupils took part in a Flag Football training session led by the manager and members of the school team 'MC Saints' who had just won the National Championships.
They also participated in design technology designing an American football stadium, in geography researching landmarks of America and creating an illustrated map and they programmed robots to move along a pitch in a computing session.
Lunch in the Twelve star Diner was enjoyed during a very busy and energetic day and each school was given an American football to take away with them.
