Mount Carmel sent four representatives from our GIFT (Growing In Faith Together) team to an extremely thought-provoking workshop along with other Catholic Partner schools at St Mary's RC Primary School, Clayton-le-Moors.
Pastor Anne told the attendees about her personal journey and made everyone think about homelessness, the hungry and those without a safe place to stay, and how a simple helping hand reaching out can make all the difference to those lives.
All schools took food with them to donate to the Food Bank and all pupils created Guardian Angel cards to be distributed with the food by Pastor Anne.
The GIFT team and some of the younger children at St Mary's taught us some new hymns with actions and led us in a liturgy based on John 10:10, "I come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
We thank the organisers at St. Mary's for inviting us to this lovely event.
