Mount Carmel Head Boy Jayden French has been awarded the prestigious Cadet of the Year Award from Hyndburn Police Cadet Unit.

This award is given to one outstanding cadet each year and Jayden was selected for the award for a number of reasons including; supporting a cadet with disabilities, being a credit to the cadet unit, for always being on hand, for doing every task with confidence and for helping out with things at his home.

Jayden has been a police cadet since 2021 and hopes to have a career in policing.

The awards ceremony took place in Accrington Town Hall on 28th June 2023.
