Mount Carmel Year 7 pupils spent a day off timetable for a retreat day. The retreat theme was ‘Strength in Numbers’ and was led by a team of young people from Net Ministries in America and Salford Diocese. This is a pilot programme and the team were spending two weeks at Salford Diocese leading retreat days for schools and as part of the confirmation programme. The ‘Strength in Numbers’ theme was based around forming and building friendships and the team facilitated games, music, talks and engaging testimonies. They included time for individual prayer and encouraged pupils to embrace the life of the Church.The day concluded with a Welcome Mass for the Year 7 pupils.
