On Tuesday 23rd November, Year 10 were involved in an RSE drop down day. The day consisted of two sessions that took place in the Hall.
Pupils have been covering RSE in their RE lessons, and in the final session, they looked at the themes of Relationships, Parenthood, Abortion and Communication. They watched a short film discussing these themes, and then spent the second session, working in groups to look at the arguments for and against Abortion, as well as looking at suitable alternatives to Abortion, and ways the Catholic Church promotes the Sanctity of Life.
The sessions were led by the RE Department, and the department found the pupils were really engaged, and responded well and maturely to the sensitive nature of the themes explored. They were an absolute credit to the school and did a fantastic job.
