Mount Carmel were proud to host the CHARM inter-schools Awards Grand Final after winning the fundraising School of the Year Award last year.
This prestigious event is organised by Ynot Aspire in partnership with Carer’s Link Lancashire and is now in it's 7th year.
The evening is a chance to celebrate the talents and achievements of young people throughout Hyndburn and an opportunity for them to gain recognition for their hard work, creativity, and dedication.
A forum of pupils from each of the participating schools meet over many months with Sharon Hendrie and her team from Ynot Aspire to plan and project manage the event and were involved in many roles on the night. The schools are St. Christopher's (C), Hollins (H), Hyndburn Academy (H), Accrington Academy (A), Rhyddings (R) and Mount Carmel (M). The initials spelling out the word 'CHARM'.
Mount Carmel were absolutely thrilled to win all 4 of the Awards this year after a panel of judges and award sponsors read through the nominations sent in from the participating schools prior to the event. All nominations were read out to the audience and were all extremely deserving to win, the judges had a difficult task selecting the winners.
