Mount Carmel received funding to take the majority of Year 9 pupils on a residential visit to Castle Head Cumbria for 3 days. As these pupils returned home a similar number of Year 8 pupils then went for 3 days.
Castle Head is a country house surrounded by 20 acres of grounds near to the seaside resort of Grange-over-Sands in Cumbria, England. It is run by Field Studies Council, and is a Grade II listed building.
The activities included; canoeing, raft building, coast scrambling, camp fires and learning about protected Habitats and Areas of Outstanding Natural beauty.
