Congratulations to Mount Carmel Saints flag football team who are are the 2025 Manchester Bears League winners!
The team came back from a 12-8 deficit to beat All Hallows 29-12 in the quarter final; winning an incredibly physical semi final against Oasis Academy on the final play with a Hail Mary throw from Mia P and an unreal catch from Georgia McG, to set up a rematch against Moorside in the final - the only team who has beaten our team in the league this year.
After a back and forth first half Mount Carmel Saints went in 14-13 down at half time, but a flawless second half performance clinched a 21-14 victory and another trophy!
Team manager Mr Barratt said "The girls were all absolute superstars, a credit to school and were all presented with a championship ring by NFL legend Charles Tillman to cap off a great day all round!"
