A careers trip to Anfield, home of Liverpool F.C. took place for fifty higher achieving Year 11 pupils who may consider university or a higher/degree based apprenticeship for their future studies.
The ‘Liverpool Autumn Fair’ event provided opportunity for pupils to speak to a multitude of exhibiting universities and apprenticeship providers. The day also included interactive STEM and creative zones as well as seminars throughout the day covering aspects such as student finanace, UCAS personal statements and life at university. Representatives from the Russell Group of universities and from Oxford and Cambridge were there offering information and advise.
The event was organised by University of Liverpool in association with Future U from UCLAN.
Mount Carmel pupils also had an opportunity to have a tour of the stadium, see the interview area, the executive lounge, view the pitch and see the trophies in the museum area of the stadium.
