A group of 52 Mount Carmel pupils in Year 7 and 8 visited Manchester Airport for a joint Careers and History trip.

The pupils had a tour of Terminal 2 where they learned about the various job roles that exist at an airport before travelling to the Runway Visitor Park to learn about the History of Flight and further careers available on planes and runways.

The trip finished off with a special opportunity to board the iconic Concorde and learn about the history of the plane and the incredible engineering that allowed it to fly at twice the speed of sound!
