Mount Carmel Year 7 pupils were challenged to take part in our European Day of Languages ‘Bake-Off’ by creating a cake with a European theme.
This year, we had to do things a little differently and pupils were given the option of either baking a themed cake at home or designing their cake on paper.
Our Modern Foreign Languages teachers were thrilled with the competition entries and found it tough selecting a winner.
Miss Whittles had the pleasure of announcing the winners as coincidently they were all in 7M4 (her class).
Well done to Tianna W. who baked and decorated a beautiful Spanish themed cake.
Also well done to Lydia McL. for her 'pizza' topped cake representing Italy and to Emily C. for her Union Jack cake representing United Kingdom.
All three girls received a Spanish dictionary and chocolate as prizes.
