Mount Carmel staff dressed as book characters for World Book Day 2019; much to the amusement of the pupils who were in school uniform. The English department arranged the day and the school library held a range of competitions at break and lunch times including a really popular ‘Guess which teacher is reading the book’ quiz. Across the school, all lessons throughout the day began with a member of staff reading a section from the Roald Dahl story “The Hitch-hiker”.
