The Crazy for Science inter-primary quiz took place hosted by Mount Carmel science department.

Eleven teams of 4 pupils from seven schools competed with approx 80 family and primary staff coming along to support them.

The quiz consisted of exciting practical challenges relating to the speed and elevation of balloons, a microscope challenge and online quiz questions. 

Mount Carmel pupils assisted and were great ambassadors for the school during the course of the evening and Mount Carmel PTFA served refreshments to the visitors. An online parents quiz and a raffle also took place.

The Crazy for Science winners for 2026 were St. Andrew's and they were presented with the prestigious trophy, certificates, a microscope for their school and chocolates. 

A team from Hippings came in second place with Moor End coming in third place.
