The best secondary school in Hyndburn for pupil progress for the second consecutive year!

Mount Carmel R.C. High School in Accrington has for the second consecutive year achieved an impressive score in data tables released by the Department of Education. The data shows the progress of pupils at the school is above average compared to schools nationally and is the highest rated school in the Hyndburn area and second highest in the wider Hyndburn & Ribble Valley area.

Headteacher Mr Bowers says that “Everybody associated with Mount Carmel are absolutely delighted that the 2024 Department for Education schools’ data which clearly shows that all pupils who attend the school get a fantastic all-round quality of education.”

He continues “This is an impressive set of results which are due to a great deal of hard work from pupils, with support from parents at home and of course their teachers at school. As always it is a team effort to support all pupils.”
