A number of Year 8 and 9 pupils have spent two days on retreat, preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation with Bishop John Arnold, Bishop of Salford.

Our Mount Carmel candidates spent the two days learning about the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit, the Sacrament of Confirmation and their journey into Christian adulthood.

Thank to RE teacher, Mr Leybourne, Miss Hodgson and Fr Francis for leading this and may it become a strong foundation and building platform for our links between school, home and parish in the future.

The Confirmation service will take place on Thursday 15th June, 7pm at St Joseph’s Church, Accrington.
