The Crazy for Science inter-primary quiz took place hosted by Mount Carmel science department.
Thirteen teams of 4 pupils from seven schools competed with approx 80 family and primary staff coming along to support them. The bird themed quiz consisted of exciting practical challenges including designing birds beak adaptations, constructing an egg protection capsule, a microscope challenge and quiz rounds.
Mount Carmel pupils assisted and were great ambassadors for the school during the course of the evening and Mount Carmel PTFA served refreshments to the visitors. An online parents quiz and a raffle also took place.
The Crazy for Science winners for 2023 were St. Mary's R.C. Primary School, Oswaldtwistle Team B and they were presented with the prestigious trophy, certificates, chocolates and MC pencils.
The team from St. Peter's came in second place and Team A from Hippings came in third place.
Thank you to the teams from St. Oswald's, Sacred Heart, St. Nicholas' and Moor End who also participated and received Mount Carmel Science Superstar certificates.
