Mount Carmel made up 50 hampers containing really lovely luxury treats such as Christmas cake, biscuits for cheese, mince pies, teabags, a candle and some wine. These were made for people in our partner parishes who we would normally invite to Mount Carmel for a community party and Christmas meal. Once again this year we were unable to hold the party so to let the Parishoners know we were still thinking of them we decided to make up the hampers.
Unfortunately, due to further developments with Covid some of the parishes decided not to accept the hampers so extra were given to St. Anne's & St. Joseph's parishes and some were passed on to St. Anne's & St. Joseph's Primary School for their families.
The remainder of the food items were passed to the food bank in Accrington who Mount Carmel support at other times of the year.
