Mount Carmel’s annual school sports day took place with a programme of activities aimed to engage all pupils within school to participate.

The P.E. staff organised a range of fun activities such as sack races, wheelbarrow races, egg and spoon, three legged races and tug of war alongside more ‘formal’ track and field events such as javelin, shot put, long jump and track races. Staff also took part in activities including tug of war, track races and sack races.

The day was a great success and was enjoyed by all. Music was provided throughout thanks to a mobile ‘DJ’.

Headteacher Mr Bowers thanked all pupils for being such good sports and really getting involved in the sports day. He said it was so good to have a taste of normality after such a dreadful year. He also thanked all staff at the school for participating and especially thanked the P.E. staff who organised the day.

Medals and trophies were presented by our Headteacher Mr Bowers to individuals throughout the day as well as Year form group winners.

The winning forms were;

  • 7A
  • 8E
  • 9E
  • 10C
