Mount Carmel were very privileged to have a Great British athlete spend a day coaching our pupils.
Danny Purvis is one of Britain’s most successful men’s artistic gymnasts having won British, Commonwealth, European, World and Olympic medals. He is the four-time all-round champion and at the London Olympics was part of the bronze medal winning GB’s men’s team.
Groups of pupils from years 7-10 spent time completing a fitness circuit with Danny which they had also received sponsorship for to help raise funds for a school trampoline.
