The Procession of Witness Stations of the Cross walk from Avenue Parade to the top of The Coppice in Accrington took place on a beautiful Good Friday morning.

This inter-denominational prayer event is organised by the Knights of St. Columba Accrington Council 188 and pupils from Mount Carmel Roman Catholic and St. Christopher’s Church of England, the two faith High Schools in the town read prayers and short readings at each of the ten stations of the cross along the path to the summit of the Coppice in Accrington.

Over 150 people attended this event with Fr. Wadsworth from St. Anne's and St. Joseph's Parishes and Fr. David Arnold and Fr. Jordan McDermott from Accrington United Benefice beginning and ending the service with prayers. At the summit all the pupil readers gathered together around the cross for the final reading and hymn.
