Wednesday 22nd February marked the beginning of our Lenten journey as a school community.
Religious Education teacher Mr Leybourne, along with six members of our school pupil Chaplaincy Team, led Lenten Liturgies on the theme of ‘Dust and Glory’ for all Mount Carmel pupils. The liturgies were focused on how we can all reflect and celebrate who we are as children of God. The Liturgies were a great success as pupils and staff pondered what we may sacrifice throughout Lent and how we may become better versions of ourselves in the process.
The liturgies included pupil readers and our wonderful school choir led by Miss Javaid. Thank you also to Fr. Wadsworth for taking time to come to our school to give out ashes.
