Mount Carmel were delighted to welcome Mrs. Ansley, Formation Co-ordinator at Caritas Salford.
Mrs. Ansley spent the morning working with our Caritas Ambassadors (Charity Representatives) for training on the how and why we participate in charity work through the Mission of our Catholic school. We were very much reminded of the needs in our communities and of Jesus's message for us to put love into action.
This training will empower our pupils to take charity work forward in the school, so that all members of our community can witness to building the Kingdom of God; we put Catholic Social Teaching into practice.
We also welcomed Caritas Ambassadors from Years 4 and 5 at our partner school, St. Anne's and St. Joseph's, Accrington. We really are spreading the message of Christian love this Advent! Thanks to Mrs. Dawson (Mount Carmel) and Miss O'Leary (St. Anne's and St. Joseph's) for accompanying the children on this journey.
