Mount Carmel are proud to announce the success of Year 11 pupil Lenni and Year 7 pupil Luke who have both made great achievements in their respective sports.
Lenni has secured a 2 year scholarship with Blackburn Rovers Football Club from July. He will spend 6 days a week boarding whilst training with the U18’s team and continuing his education.
Lenni has previously attended Liverpool, Manchester City and Burnley football academies and he has a promising career ahead of him.
Head of P.E. Mr Low commented “Lenni has represented the school and town teams and it is good to see that his hard work has paid off. We wish him lots of luck.”
Year 7 pupil Luke has been selected to represent Hyndburn & Ribble Valley in the County Cross Country championships. This is a great achievement as only the best 16 in each year group from all the H&RV schools get selected.
Mr Low said “Luke is the first pupil from Mount Carmel in many years to be selected and if he is placed in the top ten in the county he will go on to a national level competition.”
